My PC stopped booting up and I discovered that the problem was related to my hard drives. I removed both of them and plugged them in my other pc one by one as a second drive. When I turned the PC I smelt something. I switched off and noticed the smell came from the hard drives both of them had the same problem? The PC boards on both the drives must have been damaged by a power surge? The C Drive is a WD3200AAJS I was running Windows XP on this drive and the other drive is a HD200HJ. I have a lot of data on both drives and my stupidity I did all my Pastel and VIP backups to the backup drive. Can you help in the recovery of the data??
