• The CLIENT authorizes TECLEO to conduct an evaluation of the media sent to determine the nature of the damage and provide a quotation for the recovery there of, timing and estimated success rate. The evaluation is free and no work beyond this evaluation will be charged without explicit CLIENT approval.

• The CLIENT authorizes TECLEO, its employees, and agents, to receive and transport this media/equipment/data to, from and between their legally registered facilities.

2. LEGAL RIGHTS

• The CLIENT acknowledges that he is the legal owner, representative, or otherwise have legitimate rights to the property and all data contained therein sent to TECLEO.

• Any property left with TECLEO unclaimed for 90 days, will be disposed off.

3. LIABILITIES

• TECLEO shall not be held liable for any claims regarding the physical functioning of the equipment and or media or the condition or existence of data storage media supplied before, during or after service.

• TECLEO will further not be held liable for any direct or indirect damages, including loss of data, loss of revenue, incidental or consequential, before, during or after service.

4. CLIENT CONFIDENTIALITY

• TECLEO agrees to maintain strict CLIENT confidentiality. All information, data and equipment handed over or recovered by TECLEO shall be deemed confidential and proprietary to our CLIENT’s and shall not be disclosed to any third parties in any manner. Data media and recovered data are handled only by designated and authorized personnel appointed by the management of TECLEO.

5. QUOTATIONS, PRICING AND PAYMENT

• All prices quoted excludes 14% Value Added Tax.

• All prices quoted excludes bank cost, import and export taxes, freight, courier or other shipping charges, insurance, rail age, postage or any other charges.

• All quotations are valid for 7 days unless stated otherwise.

• Payment is due in full upon completion of successful recovery, prior to release of data (whether shipped, picked up or downloaded), unless previous arrangement.

• Company cheque, cash and bank transfers are welcome.

6. MEDIA WARRANTY

• TECLEO gives warranty on all return media found to be Dead on Arrival (DOA) within 7 days of shipment. Any additional warranty claims must be presented to the original manufacturer.

• TECLEO keeps STANDARD & PRIORITY service recoveries for 7 days and ECONOMY service recoveries for 3 days after invoice against dead on arrival instances.

7. DATA GUARANTEE

• Our data guarantee - no recovery, no charge, that is:

  • you will not be invoiced should we for some reason not be able to recover your data, or the data recovered not be in a useable condition,

  • we will do everything possible to rectify the recovery or refund recovery fees paid should the recovered data received not be in a useable condition.

8. GENERAL

• We do not recover pornography.

• We do not supply fraudulent insurance reports and or invoices.

• We will not omit VAT or give VAT discounts for any form of payment received.

• We will, as required by law, report any illegal activities i.e. the possession of child pornography etc.

• Free collect and return shipping within the borders of South Africa is only applicable to pre-approved hard disk drive recoveries.

  • You would therefore be charged for the shipping should the quotation be rejected after having been shipped.

  • Excludes servers and other media.
